DGI - idræt og fællesskab

Leader Team

The leader team 2012-2013 consists of a team manager, two instructors, a physical advisor and a communicator.

Team manager
Mette Mølgaard Mogensen, 31 years old, is manager for the gymnasts and for the rest of the leader team when they travel through several cultures and countries for 10 months. This time the tour goes to Africa, Asia, The Far East, USA, South America and Europe. It will be exiting and changeable days. Days which will be challenging for the gymnasts. Therefore, she has to ensure safe frames for the team. Mette has an MA in media knowledge, has worked as producer assistent and has founded her own company, Earlybird.

The instructors
26-year-old Signe Bräuner Nygaard and 28-year-old Anders Bidstrup are the two new instructors. Both of them have travelled as gymnasts on DGI’s NDPT. Together with the performance committee they shall produce the show ZOOM and instruct the 28 world team gymnasts. Signe is educated teacher and Anders structural engineer. They admire and appreciate the Danish gymnastics tradition and therefore they are very dedicated to living out their ideas and travel the world with the next show for DGI’s NDPT.

Physical adviser
25-year-old Elisa Gottschalck-Hansen will be in charge of the gymnasts’ health and physical condition. On a tour with 200 workshops and 150 shows, injuries to the gymnasts cannot be avoided. A tour like this demands good physical condition, brute strength and strong joints and muscles. Together with the team of therapists in Denmark, consisting of chiropractors, doctors and therapists, it is her duty as physical advisor to elaborate training programmes, ensure recovery and treat the gymnasts when necessary.

Communications officer
Early 2012 we can disclose who will be communicator for DGI’s next NDPT. The new staff member will travel with the team and assist hosts and organisers with marketing tasks and press work and communicate the adventures of the team.
