The team today

More than 1.5 million people have already seen the show at our visits in over 58 countries all over the world.

In September 2012 the 9th National Danish Performance Team will commence their 10 month world tour.

In Denmark, gymnastics is much more than a sport; it is a way of life and a part of a democratic and edifying development.

Since the early 1930’s numerous Danish teams has toured the world, shared their skills and got to know cultures and people.

In particular, the Danish Folk High Schools has been pioneers in taking young athletes abroad as part of their general education. Well-known are Niels Bukh from the Academy of Physical Education, Ollerup, and Erik Flensted-Jensen, who for decades lead Danish Gymnastics Teams to international acknowledgement.

During 80 years Danish gymnastics has been an inspiration around the world to exercise, joy and empowerment. Today workshops and clinics are still an important way to share the motivation and inspiration of an active lifestyle.

In 1992, when Danish Gymnastics and Sports Association was formed at a merger to the national sports for all organization, DGI, the tradition of taking a national gymnastics team abroad was revitalized.
